Official US licensed (Nozomu Entertainment) English subbed Junjou Romantica Season one anime will be released as a complete 12-episode boxed set in 4 May 2010. Order here!
Compared to the Japanese release (Region 2), it is cheap at US$49.99 for the whole season. But I guess we’re paying for all the extras in the Japanese DVDs, since the price of each DVD can get you the whole English subbed set already ^^;;;

@sigma – I like to point out if some of you don’t already know but, we’ve already had some BL animes English dubbed for awhile such as “Mirage of Blaze” and “Kizuna” and those titles have been around for a long time.
Also “Gakuen Heaven” is finally getting dubbed as well as “Loveless” and so far that’s a total of ONLY 4 BL Animes that got english subbed.
Another thing about getting it dubbed in english is that companies have a hard time finding those who are willing to do the voicing especially when it comes to something like BL and heck I’m not joking, besides BL animes, yuri & shoujo-ai also falls into the topic too. So far the only yuri/shoujo-ai anime that’s dubbed in english is “Kannazuki no Miko” or it’s english title “Shrine Maiden” is the only one that’s been dubbed but the main reason it got dubbed because it mainly didn’t have a graphic scenes of ‘yuri/shoujo-ai’ within the series, so it was in the okay section.
Okay back to the topic: Of course the main reason for not getting a lot of these BL animes subbed is that America was kind of against the companies who wanted to dubbed them. Heck, I don’t why but (I kind of understand why though and ) I always prefer the Japanese voices because it always fit; but I’m not against them dubbing it in english because I always get to compare which is better =p (in the end I still like Japanese’s voices over english though…).

Yeah, like the rest I prefer the original voices but I think they did a pretty good job for Mirage of Blaze dub. There aren’t actual sex scenes in MoB or Loveless, so I guess there are no issues. Can’t imagine the likes of Junjo Romantica and Winter Cicada’s sex scenes dubbed in Engilsh though lol~ XD I don’t have Kizuna’s DVD, so I’m not sure about the dubbing.
Ya know, my friend bought a set of both seasons for 14 bucks, with awesome quality and good English subs and everything, almost as good as the original! (though she was sure the set is original…)
@hirochan: So far for US licensed (Eng subs) Region 1 DVD, only Season 1 is released. Season 2 is not released yet. As for Region 3 (Chinese subs), only Taiwan has licensed it. Is her set of DVD region free? If so then I’m sad to say that your friend probably bought a high quality bootleg.

Omg that makes me happy. If it was dubbed my ears might give away. Mainly because theres a 90/100 percent chance that it would be bad acting.X_X
Yeah that would be difficult to imagine XD but if they have same quality of BL voice acting as the Japanese seiyuus, I don’t mind giving it a try but please include the original Japanese recording in case we can’t take it lol~
No other goodies except for the booklet?=( Aaaw. I hope at least that the subs are not as f*cked up as other english anime dvd.

@SaffronSugar: Extras are always welcomed! XD But they didn’t do as much as we hoped for since a BL title may not sell as well compared to other mainstream titles. It’s a real pity for BL fans of Junjou.
@neko12: yeah… I think the subs should be okie :) Nozomu has a good reputation for putting out quality stuff. Pity about the downsized extras tho’.
