I think I’m going to suffer from “bishonen pillow fatigue” if this goes on ^^;;

Not satisfied with your Prince of Tennis blankets of your favourite boys? NEW Prince of Tennis sleeping cushions featuring the boys in their pyjamas are finally here! From the trend of the releases, you can expect the other boys in the series to be released in similar designs as well. The official goods department are definitely taking the cue from doujin goods and finally realising the great market potential of fan-service goods like these.

As of now, these seem to be Animate Japan exclusives but keep a watch out for them at your favourite anime stores!

Atobe Keigo

Shiraishi Kuranosuke

I personally won’t be getting them but I guess they’re a must for fans? There’s something about the illustrations that are lacking from the recent DRRR!! dream cushions by Kotobukiya. Took me a while to pin-point the issue I have with them. Yep, the expressions and the way their bodies are posed. The DRRR!! boys are rather seductive and relaxed like they’re really lying down and looking at you. In comparison, Atobe and Shiraishi seemed kind of stiff and uncomfortable ^^;; I find that their blankets look much better too.

But then again, that’s probably because I’m not a fan lol~ so I’m not biased XD

  1. I will probably not purchase these b/c I just bought the Tezuka-honey and Atobe blankets. But I am glad that they are making more Teni Puri Stuff. This influct of items is probably from the New Prince of Tennis Anime that is out or is coming out. B/c if you read the pillows they say “Prince of Tennis II”

    I would probably buy the Tezuka no matter unless it was reallllllllly bad.

    Atobe is favorite non-seigaku player but I will agree they do look little weird!

    1. @TasukiHoneyBunny: Yeah we gotta be wise even when it comes to the things we love… I think by the time they made Tezuka, the artwork would have improved XD Maybe the artist isn’t used to drawing sleeping poses meant to seduce fangirls lol~

  2. Oh man.. two of my three number one favorite characters (Sanada’s the other one, if anyone wanted to know). >< Too bad the pictures' not great. Would love to have the pillows but the images just looks weird.

  3. Yup, I also agree, the poses are weird. It’s a pity cos the boys are gorgeous! I missed the blankets, too many orders in those months they were released. Atobe was wonderful on that blanket, and also Tezuka, but my fave is Shiraishi.

    1. @planck-chan: Yeah, I think the artist is probably not used to drawing such poses lol~ Well, I’m sure the blankets will be reissued when the new anime starts :D

  4. I was pretty excited when I heard about the pillows, and lol, those are two of my favorite boys from the show! But…I have to agree, their pictures don’t look as great >.<; which is such a pity because their blankets looks awesome :3 I ordered the Atobe one~ its getting shipped ^^ But i missed out on shiraishi :P

    1. @momo: Yeah, they look awkward… maybe the other pillows will look better when the artist becomes more at ease with such poses lol~ I’m sure the blankets will get reissues when the new anime starts!
