Radio Blog post:

I think this combination originated from their radio show. Recommended for the lulz :D but honestly I wouldn’t mind getting it if it was available locally. Cos check out the sample voice recordings!

Please get off (the monitor), my Lady 降りてください、お嬢様。

Eh… I can’t put my arms around you う~ん、抱っこできない。(i.e. cos you’re too fat orz;; Too funny XD)

Well, I bought a Hello Kitty weighing scale recently… which costs 1/3 of this ^^;; but it doesn’t have all the “wonderful” functions. If I didn’t buy it I MIGHT have considered getting this cos the price is actually reasonable for most weighing scales with those body fat monitor functions, etc. How about you? Is this going to be a motivating gadget for you? :D

  1. Kondo Takayuki, I want to hear his voice more, but alas he doesn’t really voice the kind of stuff I like. If I ever do obtain the financial means then I’ll definitely buy some of his voice recordings (whatever they may be) if I can find them.

    1. @bt_tara: I don’t know very much about him… he doesn’t do BLCDs right? Cos I have no impression of it at all XD What are you fav anime/roles he did in the past?

    2. None, none, NONE! He tends to voice ecchi/harem/shoujo anime and outside of those genres tends to get minor roles in everything else. I think his biggest role was Oishi from Prince of Tennis other than being the voice of the commercial Phoenix Wright.

I known him from the Daylight game which is where I fell in love with his voice, but that’s like the closest thing to BL he’s ever done and you really can’t call Daylight a BL Game. He has done minor roles in BLCDs, but just some random guy with no romantic interest that’s it.

    3. @bt_tara: ah… icic Let’s hope he gets a breakout role and get more work :D I noticed that some male seiyuus become more popular after doing BLCDs roles (for example, Waccha? I don’t know why but I get the impression). And its one of the ways to train their acting skills I feel.

Btw, There’s Animate restock for Oct 2012. You can still consider getting the scale!

    4. Thanks for letting me know, but I’m going to wait until I get a stable job before I decide to indulge on stuff like these stuff. I know I’ll get lectured for it.

  2. Lol this is just genius ^^

I sadly don’t have the money for this but I have been wondering if there are some seiyuu exersize cd’s or where they motivate you while you work out that would be great :D

    1. @Maye: I think there was one narrated by Toriumi Kousuke released 1 or 2 years ago. He sounds motivating and hyper egging the listener to do that extra sit-up or jumping jack if I’m not wrong. I can’t remember exactly what title was orz; but hope that’s a thread you can look out for.

  3. -AMUSED- This has got to be the most interesting product i’ve seen in a while LOL OnoD sounds sweet and playful at the same time

  4. lol! I thought I couldn’t be more amazed, now I am. What’s next Japan? Bring it on!

It’s a funny and great idea to motivate those trying to lose weight. I love the features.

If i were a hardcore seiyuu fan i might become a bit to obsessive compulsive, trying go on the scale when ever i can just to hear the voice and laugh.

I can also see a serious fangirl that’s really “into” their seiyuu’s might get a bit discouraged from the sarcastic side of the to much “fat” parts.;; (Hope no one get’s any eating disorders in the process.;;)

Still everything is fun and it makes the end of a workout worth it.

    1. @dandycorsets: Me too… what else can they come up with? Seiyuu voice exercise cds are not new but weighing scales definitely are XD It’ll be quite fun to step on tho… so tempting \(;o;)/ might be able to squeeze in that budget for September… OnoD’s tone when he says “Can’t put my arms around you” doesn’t sound sarcastic to me XD or maybe its cos its OnoD lolol~ It sounded like he was pouting XDD so cute. I think most fangirls with a healthy sense of humour should be able to take it lol~

  5. Gosh and then it’s time to hear OnoD saying we’re so fat that he can’t even put his arms around us… XDDDDD Never expected such thing! Too funny, I’m laughing out and here’s almost 1am… I love to know about these wonderful gadgets that only Japan can think of!

    1. @planck-chan: Yeah such a funny item to have XD and its actually useful too! I also laughed when I heard OnoD say that line XDD

  6. You should sell your hello kitty scale to fund this awesome thing! Lol it’s more and more unbelievable each time! I want something like this but not OnoD >_<

I have just started working out, after coming back from HK (with all the good food there put alot of pounds on me!)

    1. @Urusaiii: I’ll see what I can do with my Hello Kitty scale orz;; I don’t know who I can sell it to lol~ Might cave and buy this scale if I can refrain from buying stuff in September. I like OnoD but not familar with Kondo Takayuki.

Ooo! Hong Kong! :D Sounded like you had lots of fun!

  7. I don’t know if I would buy it since I don’t know how to buy items on the internet. I need help on that. I think it’s interesting though. I never knew they made things like this…it’s really cool. Thanks for posting!

    1. @King Rein: You need to engage Japan proxy or forwarding services for buying stuff from stores that don’t ship international. I can give you some links to consider if you want to get it :)
