This character is Sindibaad/Sinbad from Magi マギ Magic of Labyrinth, based on a manga by Ootaka Shinobu 大高 忍 which is hugely popular with fujoshi/BL fangirls in Japan. There are 11 volumes and it is still on-going. In fact, character setting of one of the title characters, Aladdin was initially a girl but they finally decided to make him a cute boy instead. So that was probably the right decision :P
Bandai understands how big the fujoshi market is and they seem to be pulling all the stops to satisfy this fan base :P including making Sinbad’s (naked) bedsheet and the exhibitionist Chibi-Arts figure lol~

According to fan-reactions, it seems that the anime is not faithful to the manga. I guess it doesn’t matter to me since I’ve not read it. However, I would say the anime is pretty entertaining and cute so far :D I’m going to keep watching at least until Sinbad (c.v. OnoD) and Ja’far (c.v. Sakupyon) show up lol~

i following both anime and manga. the anime indeed is quite different, but i don’t mind.
ofcours, this is because im not really into magi, i like it, but thats about it.
generally, i really dislike it if the go way different, but in this case i find it entertaining.
i didn’t know that aladdin was indeed officially a girl. i had my suspicions, cos of the wrapped chest. again, i dont mind what gender aladdin is.

omg, no lol. aladdin is still a child in the manga. i only said what i did cos of your post:

and well, since the anime is so different, i can’t really say when they are going to show sinbad. but there’s still a long way to go. when you see morgana + aladdin reunite, after that it’s sinbad’s part.
