Hetalia Axis Powers anime is based on a web comic by Himaruya Hidekazu (日丸屋秀和).
The series presents an allegorical interpretation of political and historic events, particularly of the World War II era, in which the various countries are represented by anthropomorphic characters. Hetalia (ヘタリア) is a portmanteau combining hetare (へタレ, Japanese for “useless”) and Italia (イタリア). This is to make light of Italy’s apparent cowardice during World War II. [Grabbed from wiki. The response to the series is so overwhelming, it is currently in it’s 3rd season (Hetalia ~ World Series) now.

I was pretty impressed by 07-Ghost (セブンゴースト), a recently broadcast anime adapted from manga by Amemiya Yuki 雨宮由樹 and Ichihara Yukino 市原ゆき乃. I read that it is one of the most anticipated (fangirl) anime this season and it certainly did not disappoint. View full article »

The ninth forensic lab of the National Research Institute of Police Science, called Dai Ku (the 9th), uses technology to reproduce images from memories residing in the brain of dead victims to solve difficult cases. This is the story of Maki, the leader of Dai Ku, and Aoki, a newcomer.
Everybody have secrets. This anime shows the agonies of the investigators who have to know these secrets unwillingly.
