HOLY XXYYZZZ I’m tempted to buy this game even though I don’t have a PSP OTL;;; partly because I enjoyed the CDs quite a lot. Getting it from CDJapan and selected stores will include individual store original bonuses.

There’s also a collection of all the released CDs in a limited edition CD box to commemorate the sale of the game. I already bought a few of the CDs, separately, so I’ll be giving this a miss, partly due to lack of budget.

The first voice is that of the protagonist seme, Maeno Tomoaki 前田智明, the college student-turned-sadistic master of his harem of butlers.

Anyway, you wouldn’t believe how many sweatdrops appear on my forehead whenever I read updates and see new HCGs of this BL game ^^;;; I seriously need to protect my otome kokoro… lol~

Hadaka Shitsuji is very in-your-face and straight-to-the-point about showing all sorts of hardcore and perverted scenarios just for the hell of it. This BL game is probably the rare few first of its kind in the BL-genre where the hero tops every other character in the game and bottoms for none. In almost all other BL games, the main character is always the overall uke, although there are exceptions where the protagonist gets to top other characters as well. I don’t think Tomoaki bottoms for anybody. But all will only be revealed after the game is released.

Update: Thanks to Puchi who reminded me of Laughter Land where the protagonist tops the other characters. I think currently there are a few other released PC 18+ BL games I can recall where the player is exclusively seme: Laughter Land (Shota), Shounentachi no Byoutou (Shota) 少年達の病棟 and Ore no Shita de Agake 俺の下であがけ.

Here’s some Hadaka Shijitsu feature in Cool-B September 2011 magazine prior to the game release. All NSFW OTL;; So pardon the pink hearts and darkened bits.

Gameplay information. The player will be presented with the map of the mansion. Everyday, you can get two moves. In the morning and in the evening. The timing when you visit each butler will give you different reactions and contribute to various events and captures.

You will have the opportunity to communicate with the butler during every visit. Options will appear for you to give orders to the butler. Scenarios and event CGs will appear depending on the story and character progress. At the end of the day after doing whatever you want to the butlers during your two moves, its your bedtime. The next day, you repeat your given task as the master of the house.

Character relationship chart. By the way, the mysterious megane otaku is voiced by the game producer/illustrator/scenario writer. He is actually a guy! :O

You can order the butlers to do one another in all sorts of unimaginable ways besides having your way with them yourself ^^;; Some scenarios are really eye openers, well at least for me OTL;;; Again… my otome kokoro in jeopardy. Seiyuu of the glasses butler, Inoue Kazuhiko said in the magazine interview that the whole game is about all the different ways you can have sex ^^;;

For some of the seiyuus in this game, this is their first BL experience… what an extreme introduction to the genre ^^;; Please share your game experience with us if you ordered this title! :D

Information from September 2011 Cool-B magazine.

I had a raised eyebrow + lol~ when I first read BL game magazine news about this butler-moe title, Hadaka Shitsuji or Naked Butler (裸執事) during the height of Kuroshitsuji The Black Butler, 黑執事 manga/anime craze a few years back.

So after about three year’s wait, this title is finally going to be available in June 2011! Although I wasn’t exactly eagerly looking forward to it because I don’t like the artwork as much as some of the other BL games but it’s always nice to know that the makers manage to complete game production.

Hadaka Shitsuji 裸執事 (はだかしつじ) appears to be a very smut for smut’s sake Boys Love game which doesn’t take itself seriously. The tagline is something along the lines of “absolute obedience to the master. Strip the butlers and play pranks on them”. Created by 倒神神倒 for people who like butlers and want to play with/bully them (lol). I believe this is a one-man-show because almost every aspect of the game is done by 倒神神倒, from illustration, design to scenario writing.

Although the producers seem to take their own sweet time to make this game since its announcement in 2009, you’ll always be able to read about it in almost every issue of BL game magazine, Cool-B because they always supply the magazine with updates, short stories and illustrations of Hadaka Shitsuji.

The main draw of this game, besides the butler theme, is that players take the point of view of the seme. Yep! SEME and you get to have your way with five different butlers and put the obedient butlers through all sorts of sexual and/or humiliating situations. Sounds very much like a typical male-oriented hentai ero-game where the player gets to bed all the characters. I think the producer is trying to target male players too? These are some of the tamer CGs that were revealed. Go to the official site if you want more juice :P

Summary:
Maeda Tomoaki (前田智明) is a normal university student who lives in a cosy (small) apartment. He spends his time going to school and working his part-time job and lives a mundane life.

One day, he gets into an argument with an unreasonable customer at the restaurant he is working at when trying to help a waitress working there. He got fired and is now looking for another job. However, almost every job he applied for turns him down. With the last brochure in his hand that reads: “Earn 30,000 Yen per day! A job that anybody can do. Duration: 1 month. You just have to sit there. No gender, age or ability restrictions. Interested parties please come personally at the address below.” It was a simple passage with an address but without a contact name or phone number.

Tomoaki finds it extremely suspicious but is tempted by the 30,000 Yen per day offer. He also hopes to add spice to his ordinary life and finally arrives at the address. It is a very huge mansion and he can’t believe what he hears when he is greeted by a man dressed in a black suit and has a bow-tie.

“We’ve been waiting for you, Master/Goshujin-sama” 「お待ちしておりました、ご主人様」

The actual master of the house is away for a one-month vacation. The butlers have a great need to do their jobs, that’s why they send out the brochures to look for a master they can serve. (what kind of lame premise is it? lol~ well anything goes in BL!)

Thus, life at the mansion begins. Tomoaki’s job as a master is to give orders to the butlers. Preparing meals, washing laundry, tidying up, anything that he can think of to let the butlers fulfil their purpose. Tomoaki is also free to go to university and his own apartment.

As the terms are too good to be true, Tomoaki is wary that it might be a scheme or conspiracy. He wants to test it by seeing how far the butlers would go to obey his orders. “Bark three times like a dog” , “Help me do my report (homework)”, “Wear a panty thong”, “Lick my boot”, etc.

The butlers would obey him, no matter how absurb or unreasonable the orders are.

Soon, Tomoaki’s sleeping sadistic side awakens…

I probably won’t put this on the priority list… I mean… I already have all 12 Japanese version DVDs of this series which cost me a bomb. But Misaki’s cooking special video looks like fun. :-\

Fans of mangaka Chayamachi Suguro (茶屋町 勝呂) probably already know that she’ll be releasing her very own artbook soon. It was delayed since July and is expected to be released finally on 1 October 2010.

In case you are unaware, she is the mangaka who illustrates Nitro+Chiral’s Togainu no chi and Lamento Beyond the Void manga. The artbook will contain her works and illustrations from the two titles.

Kazuaki is currently one of the hottest illustrators right now, creating beautiful CD covers for the mega-popular Starry Sky series (Starry☆Sky), drama CDs such as Kannou Mukashibanashi (官能昔話), Persona, Vampire Kiss and many BL novels, etc. The artbook will contain some of her fan works of Lamento and Durarara!! too.

There are a couple of shops you can get it from. Comicomi, Mandarake (Ikebukuro), Amiami (sold out temporarily), Animaxis, Amazon Japan and CDJapan.

Both Comicomi and Mandarake only ship by EMS but they will come with an extra free bonus each: a postcard and special illustrated paper respectively.

As I did the post about her artbook, I just found out that she has created a manga series too! :) However, judging from the description, it doesn’t seem to be a BL title. No wonder it missed the BL radar ^^;;;

While we’re at the topic of Kazuaki’s works, I remember I first took notice of her cover art for Kannou Mukashibanashi drama CDs cos of the very delicate, organic and distinct style.

I also recommend these series of drama CDs too, especially Vol. 2. Tales of Anderson and Vol. 4 Grimm Fairy Tales. The fairy tales included in Vol. 2 are: The Little Mermaid, The Little Match Girl, The Ice Queen, The Emperor’s New Clothes and in Vol. 4: The Frog Prince, Hansel and Gretel, Rapunzel and Little Red Riding Hood.

One of the best things about these two volumes is the familiarity of the stories. So, even if you don’t understand much Japanese, you’ll have no problems following and enjoying them.

We get to listen to seiyuus such as Sakurai Takahiro, Miyano Mamoru, Yusa Kouji, Hatano Wataru, Toriumi Kousuke and Ishida Akira narrate these fairy tales and performing the characters in the story… and the interesting aspect of these CDs is that you feel as if you were there yourself lol~ and they make fantastic use of the speaker’s stereo effect. I probably should do a separate more detailed post about this series next time.

Sexy Fairy Tales for Adults
To experience it in full, you must listen to it in a quiet environment and then feel the hairs on the back of your neck rise when these lovely seiyuus whisper or breathe sexily into each one of your ears lol~ According to our voice guide in the series, Inoue Kazuhiko, these series of fairy tales were adapted for adults, so some of the situations in the fairy tales were given a more mature treatment.

It sure was delicious I tell ya… :3 I definitely felt Waccha’s burning passion as the prince in Rapunzel and ToriKou’s rather incestuous Hansel ^^;;; Oh yes, and not to forget, Sakurai Takahiro’s prince who slept with the Little Mermaid. Lol~lol~ Miyano Mamoru also put the sex into The Snow Queen woo~ and Yusa Kouji sure is a seductive and mysterious stranger who brought Little Match Girl to the other world…

Shocked? That’s right! We were all deceived as children!!! XD

And for those who missed listening to Ishida Akira as an uke in BL, his performance as Little Red Riding Hood is the closest you can get to it now :P

If you happen to own a PSP (which I don’t… T~T), you might be interested to know that there -ARE- BL games on this game platform… however scarce they are…

Hanakisou is a shounen-ai title. Like Cherry blossom~チェリーブロッサム, there aren’t issues with porting over to the PSP platform. If you’re looking for 18+ R-rated stuff that you can find on PC games ;) Even if they were originally R-rated/M-rated, the scenes with questionable pixelated bits would have been removed, as in Gakuen Heaven 学園ヘヴン BOY’S LOVE SCRAMBLE!

Hanakisou had very good reviews when it was first released as a PC game.

No luck for Nintendo DS players, cos there are no BL games for it yet.

This game was first released in 2003/2004 as a PC doujin game if I’m not wrong. Followed by a PS2 port in 2006. Fantasy theme. Shounen-ai. I think if you like Uragiri wa Boku no Namae o Shitteiru 裏切りは僕の名前を知っている character designs by Odagiri Hotaru 小田切ほたる you’ll probably love the visuals of Hana Ki Sou too.

I’m quite tempted to buy Hana Ki Sou… now that the PSP version will be available, even though I don’t have time to play any games nowadays (nor own the console lol). It includes all the PC versions (original PC game + the fan disks if I’m not wrong). I’ve also heard great things about the story and characters.

Compared to the Japanese release (Region 2), it is cheap at US$49.99 for the whole season. But I guess we’re paying for all the extras in the Japanese DVDs, since the price of each DVD can get you the whole English subbed set already ^^;;;

Comments:
Men in military uniforms just has that special and unexplainable appeal, don’t they? *slurps* And then there’s the drama, angst and the non-con… that comes in the form of Hyakujitsu no Bara. The Limited Edition DVD vol. 1 is now available for pre order and will be available end of this May. This is definitely one of the more highly anticipated BL animes this year after Ai no Kusabi and Sex Pistols… not like that there’re many releases anyway lol~ but still ^^ it totally feels like a prolonged drought after Junjou Romantica ended. (T_T)

Hyakujitsu no Bara will be animated by Prime Time, who did a great job for Ikoku Irokoi Romantan (異国色恋浪漫譚), so much so that I was willing to overlook Ikoku’s cheesy storyline and script for the super-pretty animation and *ahem* delicious sex scenes lol~ especially in vol. 2. The overall art and animation quality in vol. 1 just wasn’t as good as it was in vol. 2 which was thankfully put through stricter quality control by Yamane Ayano-sensei.

Judging from the official Hyakujitsu no Bara trailer… that has a horizontally rendered, chest-heaving and naked (but censored) bishonen…

It looks very promising… if they can maintain the quality shown. I’m also quite happy that they managed to keep pretty close to the original character design.

There’ll be a total of two episodes, to be released one 30-min episode per DVD. Each DVD costs 9500 Yen. Do they think BL fans have access to money trees or what… they’re trying to milk us dry! o_O The items that come with the first DVD include: an illustrated box, a card, 24-page booklet, and a bonus DVD. Quite a similar package to what was offered in Ikoku’s lovely (but still expensive!) limited edition DVDs which also cost the same at 9500 Yen each.

I’ve listened to the Hyakujitsu no Bara Drama CD that has Inoue Kazuhiko and Chiba Susumu as the leads. Inoue Kazuhiko was spot on awesome but Chiba Susumu… well, he was good too, except when it comes to the H-scenes. His uke just isn’t my type. Sigh~ I’m still hopeful tho’… and am looking forward to this release :)

Limited edition Junjou Romantica DVD Vol. 6 tokuten is a pair of cute Piyo-chan socks (something I will probably never wear/use… kinda wasteful ^^”) and a mini manga.

Episode 11 is the continuation of the Junjou Terrorist arc (Miyagi x Shinobu) from the previous volume. There is some angst involved but overall still okay.

Episode 12 is Junjou Romantica (Usami x Misaki) arc. It is also the concluding episode of Season one.

There isn’t much to censor in both clips but the darkened areas were removed, so we can see the “compromising positions” clearly :)

There’s still some con-non-con in Junjou Terrorist but is less disturbing and Misaki’s hilarious but seriously cute attempt to service an amused Usami. Enjoy! XD

Limited edition Junjou Romantica DVD Vol. 5 tokuten is a cute Panda mechanical pencil (kindly modelled by Lulu ^^) and a mini manga. It contains episodes 9 and 10: Junjou Minimum and Junjou Terrorist.

Chibi Usami x Hiroki is super adorable. There wasn’t anything to censor but I have to say, it is one of my favourite episodes in the first season. Sweet! xD

As for Junjou Terrorist arc (Miyagi x Shinobu), personally I don’t enjoy it as much as the other two. I’m not exactly sure why although I like Inoue Kazuhiko who voices Miyagi.

If you’ve already watched the censored TV version, you’ll know that there’s a non-con in this episode. I understand that Miyagi only intended to “scare” Shinobu off or something to that effect… but watching the uncensored version, I felt rather disturbed by Shinobu’s ordeal and it felt worse for me when I saw him in tears, so I didn’t include that part in this video clip.

Warning! There’s some non-explicit non-con (which didn’t go all the way but still…) if non-con in any form (forced kissing, etc) disturbs you, please don’t watch the video clip.

Anyway, video and sound quality is great as can be expected, so yeah no complaints there.

As for the uncensored scenes in episodes 1 and 2… I personally don’t think they are explicit, so the stunt they pulled for the TV broadcast by obscuring them was probably erring on the overly cautious side. *shrug* HOWEVER! The Egoist arc may be a different matter cos from the uncensored trailer… gosh… they look pretty hot.

Summary & Comments:
Natsume Takashi (Kamiya Hiroshi) has the ability to see spirits. He has learned to keep it a secret from the people around him as they refuse to believe what they cannot see. Having lost his parents at a young age, he shuffles from relative to relative. He moves into a town where his deceased grandmother, Reiko had spent her childhood and finds himself pursued by seemingly malicious spirits. One fateful day, Natsume accidentally releases a spirit in the form of a cat who pointed him to a strange book that belonged to his grandmother. The book contains the names of many spirits whom Reiko defeated. It is said that the owner of the book wields absolute power over the spirits whose names are written in the book as a form of contract. Having known the reason why these spirits are after him, Natsume is now determined to free the spirits from their bonds. With the help of the spirit cat (Inoue Kazuhiko), the journey of discovery begins.

I’ve watched the first episode and so far, I like the general atmosphere of the anime. It draws you into the story immediately with action, drama, humour and heart. The animation is fluid and the environment has a very soft feel to it. I like Kamiyan and the way his voice lends vulnerability as well as resolve to the gentle and kind-hearted Natsume. And Inoue-san’s spirit cat is a gem! I didn’t even recognise him until he spoke in his normal voice ^^ Good soundtrack too. I enjoyed it pretty much. I watched it again and discovered a couple of hints which I think will lead to even more interesting plot in the future… looking forward to the next episode!

Hmm… there’s some “conflicting” info about the number of episodes that will be released for this series. There wasn’t any confirmation that there will be 24 episodes, was there? Just a rumour? Cos upon closer inspection… if each DVD only contains 2 episodes and only 6 DVDs will be released (I just noticed that the marketing promo text at comi-comi was saying that the 6th DVD is the final one o_O) So logically there are only 12 episodes? Unless plans are underway for Season 2… *rubs chin* Anyway…
