Sleep deprived Mickey Mouse

Oh.. I mean, looks just like you XD lol~ well, at least I know that’s how I felt like once after I pulled an (almost) all-nighter 2 consecutive days for a major project. When my head finally hit the pillow, random folks/friends who usually wouldn’t call me at that time of the day, rang my mobile phone one after another, So… zzZzz 15 minutes… Riiiing!!! =_= yakyak… bye… ZzzZz 25 minutes… Riiiing!!! *_* (repeats again) *&*@^%%$#@%!!! xD

I only shot photos of limited edition / overseas event exclusive items on sale/display and some random figures I find interesting at the recent Anime Festival Asia 2008, Singapore on 23 November 2008. I didn’t go crazy like the first time I attended a convention like this, so I didn’t shoot everything on sight. (Toy and Comic Convention 2008 was my first ^^) No wonder my batteries lasted this time round even though it was a bigger event with more on display :P View full article »

Anyway I’ll split this separately into one cosplay and one goods post.

I went to the second day of afa08 on Sunday for the cosplay contest and arrived in the afternoon, avoiding crazy, long, morning registration queues that were expected at such events.

My friend who also attended the first day to snap up Bandai’s overseas event-only limited goods told me that the queues were significantly longer on the first day. People were queuing from as early as 8~9am although the doors only open at 10am.

Event: Anime Festival Asia 2008 (22nd – 23rd November)

Anime Festival Asia ’08. Definitely THE anime event you should not miss… cosplay competition, marketplace (Bandai, Goodsmile, Medicom… and more XD), live performances, manga and anime…

Event: Anime Festival Asia ’08
Venue: Singapore Suntec International Convention and Exhibition Centre, Halls 403 and 404
Date: 22nd – 23rd November 2008
Time: 10.00 am to 9.00 pm

Daily tickets are priced at $5; to fully enjoy all the activities and events lined up, pay only $8 for a two-day ticket. Pre-registration is open. Hopefully they have better crowd and registration management this time. The Singapore Toy & Comic Convention 2008 (June) was held at the same venue and it was rather chaotic to much frustration of all who attended. I’m looking forward to it but sigh~ I’ll be one of the 80,000 expected willing “sardines” to pack the halls. Gaaah… I hate crowds -.-
