These Animate Japan only official limited edition 抱き枕 dakimakura covers (hugging body pillow case) will be offered along with purchase of 3 different Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan games for Playstation 3, Playstation 2 and Playstation Portable. However, they indicated on the product page that the free gifts won’t be shipped with each order if they happen to run out of stock. So there is an element of risk of not getting them even if you buy the games.
The pillow cases will measure 160cm×50cm each. Woo~ that’s quite a good size and height for hugging and *cough*kissing*cough* :3 (kimoi desu ka?) lol~

The main reason that stops me from going berserk is that the images on the pillow cases won’t be newly created. We want sexy poses! Although their expressions will show their blushing faces, that’s not enough for me… lol~ Bootleg pillow cases traced from original artist Yone Kazuki’s April Fool’s illustrations looks waaaay better. You can find it on sale at ebay. Anyway, my wallet is safe for now lol~ how about yours? XD

Too expensive, yet I’m a shopping freak and if I would have the money (and the ways XD) I would try to get Hijikata/Saitou.
But I wish they would do the April’s fool day ones. I have a huge crush on Hajime (I’m usually partial for black haired ones, i.e Hijikata, and I like him XDDDDD but I dunno, Saitou inmediately gragged my attention from him XDDDD.

@kettenkrad: The bootleg cushion’s images were traced from the original artist’s illustration that were drawn as an April Fool’s joke. Such a pity they didn’t really make the real thing. The original illustrations actually look very much nicer than the bootleg traced images :) But I have to say, if you haven’t seen them you wouldn’t see much difference cos they did quite a good job tracing.

.___.;; Wow… talk about rip-off much! I wonder if this would really sell well. I mean, those static poses look indeed very game-like, and they only have a blush? Maybe they blush ingame too, so that doesn’t make it very special :/ Heck, if you had a HQ picture of one of those poses, you could take it to the bootleg pillowmaker anyway!
Deninitly salute Nitro+Chiral for their sexy pillows too! x3 And man… have seen the Vampire Night bedsheets… *w* Not a fan of it either, but that Zero sure is sexy… reminds me of Dante from DMC *__*
@Luvi: I’m not a fan of Vampire Knight either… didn’t get past episode one. A tad too pretentious for my liking :P but I think the poses of the boys on the bedsheets look pretty good, so I wouldn’t mind having them IF I can find them.
@imacatlover: I think they’re trying to cash in on Hakuoki’s exposure from the recent anime broadcast since it probably introduced the title to new viewers who may not play the games before. And to make it more attractive, they included those pillow cases… so that die-hard fans would buy as well. Anyway, I think those poses are from the game itself… these otome games typically have shy/embarrassed expressions of every main character the player encounters :D
