Hakuouki (薄桜鬼) figures look similar to the Harutoki (遙かなる時空の中で) figures which were also made by Kotobukiya.

Like a BOSS. The illustration looks so much better. I’m disappointed.

Angle and close up. Hmm… the mouth seems a little wide.

His sitting position looks stiff compared to the illustration. Might be the angle the photo is taken.

Side by side comparison of the unpainted figure. The sculpted face doesn’t capture the elegance and proud expression in the original illustration but this is just the prototype so we’ll have to wait and see. Otherwise the “Like a BOSS” sitting pose looks good.

Ordering the disk from PIL/SLASH store will get you a freebie game Shingakkou Bancho which was a April Fool’s Day special in 2011. The difference is, it is full-voiced!

According to the November 2011 issue of Cool-B magazine, the fan disk of Shingakkou – Noli me tangere, the occult, mystery BL game will contain mini games as well as a visual novel portion. Since this is a fans disk, the creators promise lots of rabu-rabu (love love) scenes and new illustrations.

Niel Route. The story will be adapted from the best scenario in the drama cd where Michael and Neil are continuing a long distance relationship as Michael is studying to be a pastor in Yorkshire. There will be lots of love and H scenes as well as brand new character illustrations. Also notice that Niel’s body has become more muscular and Michael too has grown up.

Michael: … … ? Niel? … …?
Niel: Well, I was just thinking that it got bigger…
(I censored Michael and he ends up with an invisible penis lol~ sorry about that!)

August Route. Follows the end after he said he was “Happy”? Please correct me. I don’t really know what this is about since I haven’t cleared the game ^^;; The story is a continuation of the ending. And his friend Father Lazurus also appears in the route.

Cecil Route. Also taken from the drama cd scenario, this is continuation from the game’s best scenario. During their picnic, Cecil remembers the bittersweet moments before Michael and him became a couple. Includes new casual wear designs for the two characters and Cecil’s design is given the France/Paris touch.

Michael: Erm…. don’t stare at me like that.
Cecil: Well, Michael, you lied, didn’t you?
Michael: Well, Erm… …

Leonid Route. The story is taken from the drama cd’s haunting episode which caused a grand commotion. The outdoor sex scene (青姦 ^^;;) is also included in the fan disk with full illustrated goodness.

There are a couple of mini games.
1) Sugoroku Stage (すごろくステージ) traditional Japanese board game.
2) Kamigame 神がめ block game.
3) Match the faces (temporary name) 顔当て(仮)
4) Shinkkagou quiz game (Temporary name) 神学校問答(仮)

This fan disk is definitely going to be a treat, especially if you enjoyed the original game that it was based on.

The feature in the magazine also included some information about the soundtrack that was released in October 2011. They also announced that the manga of the BL game which begin serialisation in the December 2011 issue of Daria magazine.

Reborn!, known in Japan as Katekyou Hitman Reborn! (家庭教師ヒットマンREBORN!), is a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Akira Amano. I only watched episode one ^^;; before dropping it cos of the huge number of episodes the anime already has. Yeah, I was late to the fandom. Anyway, I like Mukuro’s design. Oh by the way, his seiyuu Iida Toshinobu is the voice of JJ from BL game Omerta ~Chinmoku no Okita.

Hibari is voiced by Kondou Takashi (who will appear in an upcoming BL game Taisho Mebiusline) and that’s quite a bad-ass looking Gokudera on the right.

These guys… I have no idea who they are ^^;;

And this one too. He reminds me of Mello’s sidekick (what’s his name again?) from Death Note. (Update: His seiyuu is Fujiwara Yuuki, who did the voice for Omerta’s Azusa. Thanks SnowMiyu for the heads up lol! :D)

A 100-page schedule book with illustrations of Nitro+Chiral characters by Yu-pon.
ゆーぽんの絵描くニトロプラス キラルのキャラたちを配置した100ページのスケジュール帳。

Initially I didn’t really want the schedule book but I changed my mind after seeing it. The quality is good and the relatively small size makes it handy to carry around. The elastic strap keeps the pages in place and is quite a nice feature.

The translucent cover is hard. The coloured illustrated page is thick paper.

Flat packed with loose parts…

There’s some additional assembling required before you can use your calendar. I think they’re probably trying to save production costs? Not that I mind the assembling but doing it this way puts holes into the artwork… and I’m kinda upset about that. Last year’s calendar format was so much better! But having die-cut is probably a lot more expensive than punching holes :(

January/February is Aoba from DRAMAtical Murder by Honyarara. The holes are very annoying :(

Extra months in this year’s calendar. January/February 2013 has Yamada Uirou’s Akira and he has a hole in his head! OTL;;

Assembing the calendar. After folding the cardboard and arranging the pages, put the rings through and snap them in place.

Voila! Desktop calendar assembled. The floppy rings are an eye-sore to me. I also have to turn the pages very carefully, so that I don’t tear or damage the pages accidentally. Although the calendar wouldn’t fall apart but the moment you pick it up, it feels like it would. Not classy at all.

The overall size of the calendar is bigger but the actual printed pages are the same size as the calendar in last year’s set.

Overall, the calendar is great to have cos of the beautiful illustrations. I”m just peeved by the holes that ate into the artwork. They should have cropped or resize the images, so that they are not affected by the holes. A huge pity, especially when compared to last year’s calendar format.

According to GIFT, all six characters from the series are planned and they’re currently undergoing production quality checks :D

I think the boys may be revealed during Winter Comiket 81 on 29-31 December 2011! Let’s watch out for them! I hope they’re the cheaper sitting versions that cost around 2,500 Yen and not the more articulate versions with movable legs that cost around 3,200 yen.

These canned bread should be quite yummy. I’ve tried the Togainu no Chi military Shiki and Akira canned bread and they’re pretty good. However, they are not cheap to import since they seem to be Animate Japan exclusives. As of post time, the Jinguji Ren can has already sold out. If only Animate Japan opens a store in my country…

The series takes place in a fictional, re-imagined version of New York City called Sternbild City, where 45 years before, individuals with superpowers called “NEXT” started appearing and some of them became superheroes. Each of a city’s most famous superheroes work for a sponsor company and their uniforms also contain advertising for real-life companies. Their heroic activity is broadcast on the popular television show “Hero TV”, where they accumulate points by each feat accomplished and the best ranked hero of the season is crowned “King of Heroes”.

The story mainly focuses on veteran hero Kotetsu T. Kaburagi aka Wild Tiger who is assigned with a new partner, a young man named Barnaby Brooks Jr. However, Barnaby and Kotetsu usually have trouble working together as they have conflicting opinions on how a superhero should act.

Comment:

This is one of my favourite animes from the last season. Besides fast-paced, action-packed animation characteristic of Sunrise’s works, the plot is engaging and entertaining. There are colourful personalities with interesting backstories and refreshing villians and side characters. And having Yusa Kouji voicing one of the good/bad guys is an icing on the cake for me.

The Kotetsu x Barnaby (reversible) pairing is also very popular among the fujoshi and BL mangaka. Thanks to the BL fan-service in the anime lol.

Figuarts are planning to release the whole series of characters from the anime. Fortunately I’m not aiming to collect all of them ^^;; maybe only the ones of Kotetsu and Barnaby if they look good.

The first two mecha suit releases of Tiger and Bunny (right) were snapped up in a flash.I would like to get those two on the left, so I’ll be watching their release closely. Update: For those who missed out preordering Tiger’s mecha, they’re now bundling him with the character setting guide.

Release dates for some of the other figures are not announced yet. I’m quite sure we can buy most of them from usual online hobby stores but they’ll probably sell out fast.

And not to forget, these cute goods of the characters in chibi form <3 Rubber keyholders.

And trading figures… I haven’t bought any of them tho… lack of $$$. ^^;;;

And of course the evil Animate Japan exclusive Blu-Ray DVD tokuten Deformation chibis. Preorders are already sold out.

I have no problems downloading it with my usual account, so you probably don’t need to create a Japan iTunes account too.

Seems that now we’re going to have yandere boys for almost everything from Yandere situation CDs, Yandere Heaven BLCD, Yandere Pies and now, a Yandere phone app.

In the app, it’s like having a younger/ junior (kouhai) boyfriend who has an extremely unhealthy obsession and relationship with you. Reminds me of Alois Trancy from Kuroshitsuji II :D It’s a pity that the character setting is a shota (young boy) and voiced by a female seiyuu -BUT- she did a great job! I quite enjoyed listening to her voice and find myself smiling at the scary, creepy things the character says. I don’t follow female seiyuus, so I don’t recognise her voice. Let me know if you know who she is! (Her handle is: 白玉ミケ)

Some examples of the things the boyfriend says:
1) 「どうしたの、そんなに怯えて。・・・さぁ、こっちにおいで」
What’s wrong, why are you so scared? … Now then, come over here.

2) 「他の男とキスしたら・・・この先は言わなくてもわかるよね」
If you kiss other guys… You know (what will happen) even if I haven’t mentioned it before, right?

3) 「ほらほらほら、激しくキミのことを愛してあげる。拒否権はないよ」
Hey, hey, hey, I’m loving you so intensely. DO NOT reject me.

4) 「他の男のところに行ったら・・・どうなるか覚悟してね。ふふふふ・・・・」
If you go out with another guy… just be aware of what is going to happen, ok? Fufufufu…

When you first start up the app, you’ll see the welcome screen and the yandere boyfriend greets you immediately with one of his creepy lines. Keep tapping on the guy and he’ll say more things. You’ll be able to collect quite a big list of lines. Tap on the first icon to go to the memory bank listing.

To listen to the lines you’ve already collected, you can just tap on it and let him send thrills down your spine with your favourite line XD

Tap on the second icon to go to the settings. I’m not going to go through too much detail since it is quite self-explanatory once you know what each option is for. For example, you can set the interval with which he announces the time. Remember to tap Save after you’ve made your selections :D

If you enable the seconds option, the clock will display the seconds. Tap on the clock numbers area and he’ll announce the time.

When you enable the alarm, the screen will be updated with a yellow bell icon. When it is time for the alarm, he’ll say yandere things like, “It’s time, if you’re going to meet other men, I’m not going to forgive you.” Lol~ I so NOT want a yandere boyfriend, seriously.

You can also set your birthday. I cheated and set the date just to listen to it. When you switch on the app on your birthday, he’ll also give you a special birthday greeting. It actually sounded quite sweet.

It’s also possible to buy add-ons like more voice packs and removing the ad-banner of the maker’s other free app, the girlfriend version, Yandere Kanojyo ヤンデレ彼女. I didn’t buy it so, there’s no screenshot to show.

New character: Kimiga Kouki 君賀 好生(きみが こうき)

Description: He is your homeroom teacher at school. He appears to be a fine and gentle teacher and well-liked by all the female students… however…  あなたが通う学校の担任教師。格好良くて優しく女子生徒からは誰からも好かれる教師だが・・・

The new character is voiced by a male seiyuu! His voice has slightly higher pitch and sounds quite cold lol~ reminds me of Tobita Nobuo 飛田展男 (Feilong in Viewfinder and Sannan-san from Hakuouki). However, he doesn’t sound threatening enough to seem yandere, compared to the female seiyuu who voiced the junior character.

To set him as your yandere boyfriend, go to settings and select the second option. You’ll be brought to a new page where you can choose the character. Once selected just tap OK.

Notice the red text? It says “Set”. When you back to the main screen, you’ll be greeted by your new boyfriend lol~ Tapping the memory note, you’ll see a zero next to your new boyfriend’s name. That’s because you have just selected him and not started the app with him yet. His lines will also be listed here as you collect them. Just scroll down to view them.

Updates from 2012 February issue B’s-Log Magazine published in 20 December 2011. More freebies! Tokimeki Girl’s Side clear folder featuring different characters, Uta no Prince-sama illustrations, Shukan Soine booklet and CD. I’ll cover the Shukan Soine special in another post :D

According to illustrator Honyarara, all the CG revealed of Mink so far shows him as someone who you don’t want to mess with. A dangerous man. He is like a wolf and hunter. She wonders what Aoba sees in him to fall in love with him? Lol~ His theme colour is pink.

Next two page features more information about Mink and some recap and illustrations of Aoba with his other semes. The images are the same as that of Cool-B January 2012 cover in another post.

Described as a ruthless man. His all-mate is also pink in colour. Mink has dreadlocks, wears a bandana, cuffs and pipe.

Probably the most nosebleed-inducing CG revealed so far. I think the next issue of Cool-B will probably be even steamier and not cropped out like it is below.
