  1. @ponytale chara-info.net/special/agf2012/ :o they don’t make it easy for those of us relying on online translators. Would it be too much trouble if you can list briefly what it is chara is selling? *begs*

    1. But I wonder how to get it… if I have to buy from someone who’s fisically in the event or if this should be sold later, or via site… as I can’t read what’s written Idk… to someone buy for me there’s always high fees… it’d be better for shipping costs if dakimakura isn’t filled, only cover. But they look so beautiful, No.6 deseves more love, almost no merch of the anime/manga.

    2. @planck-chan: This is going to be just a cover, no fillings inside. No information about the size yet but the weight should be quite light.

We have to pay an event proxy to get it and usually the price is almost double after all the fees are added in (ToT) But the most troubling thing is… there is no guarentee that the proxy will be able to secure one for us if it is sold out… like what happened for JJ dakimakura. Sold out within minutes on the first day!

  2. BL items are often included here, right?

No news on Viewfinder/Yamane Ayano items yet. *phew* even on the YA LJ comm.

It’s quite a relief but in actuality, I want some to be released. XD

  3. uuu i want to purchase the entrance ticket via animate-online, but it requires me to sign up and register with a japanese address, is there any other way to get around it since i don’t live there? =(

    1. @Kanzuki: You can register for a forwarding address at Tenso.com or buy a forwarding ticket at biginjap.com :) After they receive the tickets, they’ll send it to you.

  4. @ponytale
My events proxy charges per stall so if I get lots from one stall it might work out cheaper than being charged for items individually :D
I can’t remember whether the AGF artbook was ever sold after the event, last year I think only the Libre Premium one was available at animate online afterward. There’s a 2 book limit for the AGF artbook at the event, but I’ve been lucky so far in getting them :)

  5. *sigh* I wish they’d put the AGF artbook on their pre-order list :( The book limit thing is annoying with proxies T_T

Thanks for making a list of pre-orders, I’ll see whether it would cost less for me to get these via my online proxy or the usual events one :D

    1. @sawwie-chan: The AGF artbook maybe available after the event :D it usually doesn’t sell-out does it? :O From experience, normally events proxies charge a lot more cos they have to make the trip down, buy entrance tickets etc.

  6. My proxy actually is a local store, named j-ground, i have been using their service from around 2007
May i ask, they put price tag for chiral no mori one coin figurine (akira wear the blue stripped pajamas) around 280 us dollar, include shipping, tax etc.
    Is it pricey or normal?

  7. drolling while my wallet bleeding….

my proxy-chan cost me triplet for anything i order with status “not ready stock” gah!!!!

i wish i can type shift+ctrl+C and type motherload (T__T)

  8. thannnkkkk youu very muchhh to make this article <3 <3 <3
me and my friend visited japan in may 2012
so we miss any anime/manga festival
we wanna back in 2013 , still confusing about summer comiket or winter comiket
but because both of us fujoshi, AGF looks much more appealing for us tee-hee
    but ticketing-stuffs kinda confusing us
so we're gonna observe and learn from AGF 2012 XDXDXD

thankkk you very much for your help hereeee <3

    1. @Shirokaze: If I remember correctly, cosplayers are charged more cos they have a special area designated for them for photo-taking and so on. Sometimes their characters may have big weapons or props too, so that is also taken into consideration (that they take up extra space? lol)

    2. @pony poor cosplayers… they take more room? wth…
in my country, cosplayers have FREE entrance, and they might even win prizes if they join a contest…

    3. @Shirokaze: Usually countries other than Japan need cosplayers to create buzz and get attention for their events, that’s why they get these perks. Compared to other countries, there are lots more cosplayers in Japan I suppose.

  9. Pfff K is not even released, just some manga chapters and there’s already many merch…. let’s wait more new stuff, till now nothing like oh must get, still hope Koto brings us yummies.

    1. @planck-chan: yep! K should be released sometime in October 2012 so those goods manufacturers are probably working overtime to churn out goodies to catch the first wave of customers. More will be revealed and I hope to see more exciting goods :D

  10. *sobs* even if I someday am in Japan in that time, how the hell is one supposed to pay for these prices? (And again I wonder, how can Japanese fangirls live a fangirl lifestyle like that?) And I am surprised, why are cosplay tickets more expensive? (Are there special shooting places they can access or something? Yes, I know next to nothing about Japanese cosplay and their events.)

    1. @Celestie: Beats me ^^;; I’ve not been to the event so I can’t say for sure what age groups most fangirls fall in. But they’re probably working adults or young girls with doting/rich parents :P

Yep, cosplayers are usually charged more for these events cos they have a special area designated for them for photo-taking and so on. Sometimes their characters may have big weapons or props too, so that is also taken into consideration (that they take up extra space? lol)
